We offer a variety of specialized programming for many aspects of
the gay and lesbian community. Our Special Projects unit
allows community groups to obtain professional quality programs
on their concerts, special events, and other happenings.
The service we provide includes videotaping the events,
producing the program format, and editing the finished product.
In the past, LambdaCom has created programs for Harmony Chorale,
the Denver Women's Chorus 10th Anniversary Concerts, The Rainbow
Chorus and The Alexander Foundation.
This type of programming allows the community to have access
to LambdaCom's technical knowledge, equipment, and volunteer
staff at a fraction of the cost of what a professional production
company might charge. In addition, LambdaCom takes the additional
step of ensuring the finished product gets air time on Denver
Community Television. Most production houses will end their
responsibility with the editing portion of this process.
Finally, LambdaCom will take on the duties of providing
duplication services of the special project. In the cases
of both Harmony and the Denver Women's Chorus, our volunteers
made a number of copies of the programs for individual members
of those musical groups. Again, we provide this service at
a fraction of what a tape duplication company would charge.
It is in this manner that LambdaCom is able to support all
the different segments of the community.
