mission to provide a variety of specialized, commercially
viable media programming which informs, entertains, and spiritually
supports the Colorado gay and lesbian community.
LambdaCom was created in 1989 as an all volunteer organization
with a mission of creating and distributing programming for
the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community. With the
help of approximately 100 volunteers, LambdaCom airs the
weekly broadcast television program Colorado Out Spoken,
and various special programs along the front range of Colorado
and southern areas of Wyoming.
Registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the
State of Colorado and the federal government, LambdaCom operates
through the support of sponsors and volunteers. One hundred
percent of our funding comes from community sponsors, such
as the Gill Foundation, Coors Brewing Company, and Landmark
Theaters. There is no paid staff for LambdaCom.
The LambdaCom Board of Directors consists of 9 members of
the Colorado gay and lesbian community. They create and implement
a set of Bylaws, and oversee the continued improvement of
the various LambdaCom programs.
